Green Move is a sustainable mobility research project developed by Politecnico di Milano and financed by Regione Lombardia, with the aim of thinking and developing a new car-sharing system with electric vehicles for the Milan’s area. The aim of the project is to innovate the concept of existing sharing services through a dynamic and open philosophy, based on standardisation, interoperability and multi-business. Green Move overcomes the logic of a single supplier, allowing the entrance of many car-sharing operators, company cars and single users who want to share their own cars (peer-to-peer social vehicle sharing). This is supported by a technological architecture allowing any vehicle to enter the Green Move network.
Our research group at the Departement of Architecture and Urban Studies worked on demand analysis, geographical studies, socio-economic assessment and economic issues in general.
