{"id":27,"date":"2015-03-20T12:10:48","date_gmt":"2015-03-20T12:10:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.traspol.polimi.it\/?page_id=27"},"modified":"2015-05-08T07:55:08","modified_gmt":"2015-05-08T07:55:08","slug":"laboratorio","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.traspol.polimi.it\/en\/laboratorio\/","title":{"rendered":"Research center"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>TRASPOL<\/strong>, Research Centre on Transport Policy is part of <strong>DAStU<\/strong> (Department of Architecture and Urban Studies) within the <strong>Politecnico di Milano<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The centre\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.traspol.polimi.it\/fields\/?lang=en\">is involved in <\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<em>research<\/em>, <em>teaching<\/em> and <em>consultancy<\/em> in the transport and infrastructure sector. In particular, it is expert in the relationship between public planning, economics and regulation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the <strong>urban scale<\/strong> we work on public transport planning, with the definition of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans and their economic evaluation, also through interfacing with transport models.<br \/>\nIn the field of <strong>long-haul passenger transport<\/strong> (rail, air and coach markets) we work on regulation (unbundling, tenders), strategic studies and planning (services planning, restructuring, cost cutting).<br \/>\nMoreover, we have numerous experiences with planning and assessment of transport <strong>infrastructure<\/strong> and their relationship with <strong>land use<\/strong> planning.<br \/>\nIn collaboration with Studio META from Monza (Italy), we run one of the few <strong>transport models at the national scale<\/strong>\u00a0existing in Italy. It allows to simulate scenarios of infrastructure supply, services timetabling, market structure and delivers demand estimations, inputs for the transport entreprises and for the evaluation of public expenditure.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a title=\"Campi di competenza TRASPOL\" href=\"http:\/\/www.traspol.polimi.it\/fields\/?lang=en\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-130 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.traspol.polimi.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/COMPETENZE1-1024x607.png\" alt=\"COMPETENZE\" width=\"600\" height=\"356\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Moreover TRASPOL offers <em>training curses<\/em> dedicated to public administrations and single participants and public\u00a0<em>conferences <\/em>on our research topics.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TRASPOL, Research Centre on Transport Policy is part of DAStU (Department of Architecture and Urban Studies) within the Politecnico di Milano.
