During the project we supported SPEA Engineering in the Cost Benefit Analysis of the so called “Passante di mezzo”, the improvement of the Bologna highway node. The project includes the widening of the existing A14 highway to 3-lanes, the widening of the orbital road of Bologna and further feeder roads.
The analysis has been conducted using the investment cost of the definitive project, and the traffic data derived from the traffic model of SPEA concerning mileage and travel time variation. The same model was used to simulate the impact of the construction phase.
The Cost Benefit Analysis has been produced coherently with the recent academic litearture and referring to the recent Ministry of Transport guidelines.
